Kitty's Story

Kitty V. Griffin is an entrepreneur, author, actress, life transformational coach, and national empowerment speaker committed to helping women, youth, and families step into purpose—and live it out boldly.

As the CEO and Executive Program Director, she is known for creating transformative spaces where growth, confidence, discipline, and purpose are not just discussed, but practiced. Guided by her personal motto—“I don’t want to necessarily be a great person – rather, I hunger to accomplish great things that will improve the quality of life for all people”—Kitty has dedicated her life to building programs and platforms that uplift communities and strengthen lives.

Kitty’s leadership and impact span education, youth development, the arts, and community empowerment. She has served as Founder and Executive Program Director of Aspire Youth Engagement Programs, Inc. (2016–Present) and previously led as CEO/Founder of Soar Beyond Foundation Inc. (2015–2016), creating direct-service initiatives designed to support and empower women and youth.

Earlier in her career, she founded Progressive Women of Excellence, Inc. (1999–2009), a nonprofit that served women and children through empowerment conferences, college housing support, and community-based programming.

Her passion for storytelling and healing is also reflected through her work as the creator and playwright of “Emerge – 7 Women, 7 Stools,” a powerful stage production that amplifies women’s stories and sparks awareness and restoration within communities.

A graduate of California State University, Sacramento with a B.A. in Media Communications, Kitty pairs creativity with strategy to deliver meaningful, lasting impact.

Her work has been recognized through honors including Best Female Recording Artist of the Year and Best Album of the Year (2006), and she has performed in lead roles such as “Somebody Oughta Tell God Thank You” (2005).
